A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Hali brings a lifelong passion for animal care and distinguished academic background to our practice.
Education and Expertise
Dr. Hali's journey in veterinary medicine began at Southside High School, where she was a member of the prestigious International Baccalaureate program (Class of 2012). She then moved to Rome, Georgia, to attend Berry College, graduating in 2016 with a Major in Animal Science and a Minor in Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Since then, she has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.
Life at Home
Dr. Hali doesn't just care for animals at the clinic; she lives and breathes the "animal life" at home! She shares her life with her husband, Dr. Levi Wood, and their young daughter. Together, they are already passing down their deep love and respect for animals to the next generation. Their busy household is home to a full "menagerie", including

Hobbies and Interest
When she isn't in the exam room, you can usually
find Dr. Hali outdoors or lost in a good story. She is an avid horseback rider and an enthusiastic reader. Whether it's a routine check-up or a complex medical case, Dr. Hali is excited to meet you and your furry family members!
Dr. Levi B. Wood D.V.M
Meet Dr. Wood
Born and raised in Lindale, Georgia, Dr. Wood’s love for animals started early and has only grown stronger over the years. He now lives in Armuchee with his wife, Dr. Hali Wood, D.V.M., and their daughter. At home, he shares his life with two dogs, two cats, and two horses. His passion for animals and the natural world is at the heart of everything he does.
Dr. Wood is a 2010 graduate of Pepperell High School and earned his degree in Animal Science from Berry College. He went on to achieve his lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian, graduating from Lincoln Memorial University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021.
His journey with East Rome Animal Clinic began long before his veterinary career officially started. At just 15 years old, Dr. Wood worked as a kennel technician, gaining hands-on experience that sparked a lifelong passion for animal care. That early connection to the clinic shaped his approach to veterinary medicine—one grounded in compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for every patient.
Today, Dr. Wood and his wife, Dr. Hali Wood, are the proud owners of East Rome Animal Clinic. Together, they are committed to continuing the clinic’s tradition of exceptional care, building lasting relationships with clients, and serving the community they love. Dr. Wood takes pride in treating every pet like his own and ensuring every visit is as comfortable and positive as possible.
Dr. Wood’s story is full circle: from a teenager working in the clinic he loves, to a trained veterinarian, and now the owner of the very place where his passion for helping animals began.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wood enjoys hunting and all things outdoorsman. Whether exploring nature, spending time with his animals, or taking part in outdoor adventures, he embraces an active lifestyle that complements his love for animals and the natural world.
